The Keukenhof Is more than a treat for the eye considering a 33 hectares of blossoming flowers, it is also a great inspiration to get ideas for your own garden. Open around middle of March till middle of May. Bus excursion from Amsterdam.
Alkmaar - Cheese market & windmills

There is a tour (every Friday) to the world famous Cheese market. Cheese has been traded on the Waagplein since the seventeenth century. The cheese porters guild carry the cheese away in barrows after it has been weighed.
Queens day April 30 - The celebration of the Queen's Birthday.
The city turns for 1 day in one big orange party and well known for Amsterdam! Orange is related to the Royal Family (the House of Orange).
People are selling, food, creative articles, you will see plenty of boats and there is music and parties all over the city!
